# Usage by day

> Spend, charged requests and tokens per day for your account, bucketed in your timezone.

Authenticate with an API key (`kyma-...`) or a session token (`ks-...`) as `Authorization: Bearer ...`.

<ParamField query="days" type="integer" default="7">
  How many days back to go. Clamped to between 1 and 366.
</ParamField>

<ParamField query="tz" type="string" default="UTC">
  An IANA timezone such as `America/Los_Angeles`. Days start at midnight in this zone. An unknown zone falls back to `UTC`.
</ParamField>

## Response

```json theme={null}
{
  "daily": [
    { "day": "2026-09-21", "spend": 0.4127, "requests": 318, "tokens": 1204411 },
    { "day": "2026-09-22", "spend": 0, "requests": 0, "tokens": 0 }
  ]
}
```

One row per calendar day, oldest first, from `days` days ago through today. Days with no usage are present with zeros, so the array is ready to chart.

| Field | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `day` | The date, `YYYY-MM-DD`, in `tz` |
| `spend` | What you were charged that day, in US dollars |
| `requests` | How many charges were recorded that day |
| `tokens` | Input plus output tokens of your token-billed requests that day |

Per-model totals for the same account: [Usage by model](/api-reference/auth-usage-models).

## Errors

| Code | `error.type` | Means |
| - | - | - |
| `401` | `auth_required` | No `Authorization: Bearer` header, or the key or session is not valid |
